AICCM is pleased to present Emerging Technologies in Textile Conservation, a Textiles Special Interest Group Symposium, to be held in Sydney from the 19th to the 22nd of May 2016 to coincide with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
The symposium will present innovative research, practical ideas and illuminating case studies from a range of exceptional textile conservators and practitioners. This will be an excellent opportunity to build knowledge, share resources and grow your professional networks.
Alongside the symposium, the AICCM Textiles SIG has programmed three skills-building workshops to give practical training in three key areas of practice. Workshops include a textile adhesive workshop presented by Zenzie Tinker at the Museum of Arts and Applied Science, a metal thread cleaning workshop presented by Ian MacLeod and Rinske Car at the Australian National Maritime Museum and a half-day costume mounting workshop presented by Tess Evans at the Yaama Dhiyaan centre.
Places are strictly limited and early bird pricing is available until March 1st. For more information and to register online now, visit our website and click on the What’s On section. Our apologies for the interruption to the online registration page. This was due to some confusion regarding pricing. However registration is now available, all prices are listed separately for the symposium and workshops and are now correct.
