Forgotten Dresses now available on DVD
Forgotten dresses is the story of the volunteers known as ‘the Textile Ladies’ and their work to preserve and catalogue a collection of 19th Century clothing that lay packed in the attics of Howick Historical Village for years, awaiting the resources to preserve it properly.
The 25-minute documentary delves into the stories behind some of these items; A Milkmaid’s dress with noble connections; a WWI soldier’s uniform with a surprise in its pocket, and more.
