Lorraine Downes is the subject of Our Miss Universe, a new showcase at Te Papa which features her iconic Miss Universe gown, crown, sash and trophy, all of which she recently gifted to Te Papa.

On Tuesday 24 September from 6pm–7.30pm, New Zealand’s most famous beauty queen will present an illustrated talk at Te Papa in conjunction with Our Miss Universe. She will take you behind the scenes of the Miss Universe pageant, elaborate on what her hectic year as Miss Universe actually entailed, and reflect on how that single year shaped her life.
