Next year’s CTANZ symposium will be held in Dunedin on 24-25 April 2015, and work has begun on another great programme which will provide opportunities for CTANZ people to enjoy the usual range of inspiring papers, this time on the theme Contexts of Fashion: Materiality and the Body. As a bonus for dress enthusiasts, this coincides with the sixteenth iD Fashion Week; our events will allow opportunities to particpate in the iD programme as well.
Papers of up to 20 minutes are invited on fashion as spectacle, story, object, subject, product, experience from any place, any time, from the perspectives of designers, makers, artists, wearers, collectors, commentators, admirers, curator. Join us in exploring fashion in its broadest contexts: from the range of materials and assemblies it encompasses, to the bodies it may reveal, conceal, affect or imagine, and the systems in which it is created and produced.
Please submit your abstract (as a Word document of up to 300 words) with a short biography to Dr Jane Malthus at james.reid@xtra.co.nz by 30 November 2014.
Presenters will be notified before December 20, 2014.
