Symposium countdown

Only a couple of weeks now until the 2015 symposium, and with the iD programme now out, be warned – there’s going to be lots to keep you busy. If you’ll be in Dunedin ahead of Friday 24 April, check out the id website for details of their events.

Those who arrive early enough on Thursday will probably start bumping into other symposium participants at iD events like Doris de Pont’s guest lecture on fashion and identity at Dunedin Public Art Gallery (12.30pm, gold coin entry) or the opportunity to meet iD international guest Doris Raymond at the Golden Centre Mall iD Hub at 3pm. There are also fashion tours of the Otago Museum basement and the Public Libraries archives, and of course Emerging Designers at the Town Hall for those who have tickets.

Non-iD options include the Blue Oyster art project space’s iD2K16, a trawl of the city’s famous op-shops, Thursday’s late night at Toitu Otago Settlers Museum.

On Sunday 26 April, we’re looking at supplementary events, the Olveston fabric and furnishing tour or a behind the scenes visit to Toitu Otago Settlers Museum (times to be confirmed). There will also be more iD events at the art gallery and library.

Just aware its less than two weeks away – please advise what the arrangements are for attending the ID Emerging Designers on Thursday (booked with registration) ? do you just turn up at Town Hall at a specific time or is there information yet to come by email ?

Hi Bronwyn! I believe that Jane Malthus is posting out tickets (to those who ticked that box) this week.
If I hear differently I’ll let you know.
Looking forward so much to seeing you there!
X Angela
