WEARABLE TECHNOLOGIES AND SMART TEXTILES SYMPOSIUM

AUT University’s Textile and Design Lab is hosting New Zealand’s first public symposium on Wearable Technologies and Smart Textiles, also referred to as e-Textiles. Keynote speakers are Dr Oscar Tomico from the Technical University in Eindhoven, Holland, and Genevieve Dion from Drexel University, USA, both of whom are experienced researchers and practitioners in this rapidly growing field. The programme also includes presenters from New Zealand industry, academic researchers and postgraduate students. The symposium focuses on emergent research in nano-fibre applications, responsive textiles and integrated electronics for the wider wearable technologies sector.
